In an increasingly complex world, specialists have a leading part to play in almost every field. Dr. Michael Lehmann, the founder of the international Athletikum Group, has dedicated himself since 1988 to the treatment and research of shoulder dysfunctions. The International Shoulder Group team consists of international members with an equal level of expertise. This clinical and scientific cooperation makes it a model for future institutions. The International Shoulder Group is consequently a leader in the quality and development of minimally invasive surgical techniques in the shoulder. We also strive towards the same standard for other subspecialties relating to the locomotor system.

Lively communication with colleagues abroad, frequent visits to medical congresses and their organization itself allow a productive exchange of innovative ideas.

Our concept of treatment is based on an organized and controlled interplay of surgery, physical therapy and, if necessary, training specific to the relevant branch of sport. We believe that it is only this team approach to treatment and care that can guarantee optimum results.

 
We dedicate ourselves especially to the innovative further development of concepts in the conservative and surgical treatment of sports-related orthopedic conditions and injuries. Our motto is “Micro is more”, and we are always in search of treatments which are as pain-free and as successful as possible.

Despite our high-tech approach to diagnosis and therapy, our aim is still to practice medicine in a human and individual manner, to meet the personal requirements of all our patients and to respect the most diverse needs.
